Meet Naomi
Meet Naomi Neilson Howard who is here to answer questions about making your bathroom more eco-friendly! Naomi turned her passion for artisan tradition, sustainability, and fair trade practices into a successful international business. In 1996, she founded Native Trails to combine age-old traditions with contemporary design and sustainable materials, bringing the work of artisans from central Mexico first to central California and then on to living spaces throughout North America. Naomi broke new ground by helping to introduce copper as a mainstay material for kitchens and baths, creating Native Trails’ iconic copper basins. Under Naomi’s effervescent leadership, Native Trails continues to innovate with their creative designs – utilizing natural materials like repurposed barn wood, reclaimed wine staves and barrels from local wineries, bamboo, and recycled copper. Today, Native Trails’ products are sold in over 1,300 showrooms throughout the United States, Canada and beyond. They have received numerous awards for innovation and design, and have been featured on DIY, HGTV, and ABC’s series Nashville.
