This week everyone across the country has been gearing up for some big events. Obviously one being the Super Bowl and the other being KBIS 2014! In New York there have been so many festivities leading up to game day that are fun to participate in whether you’re a football fan or not. If you’re in the area definitely check out Super Bowl Boulevard: there’s an eight lane toboggan run in the middle of Times Square! Yes, a little crazy but still cool. On a more design related note, KBIS 2014 kicks off in Vegas next week and we’re excited to see what kitchen and bath innovations are going to be hitting the market this year. We’ll definitely be getting a glimpse of popular design trends and can’t wait to do a recap of our KBIS experience. In the meantime check out some of our favorite things in design that we found floating around the web this week.
Favorite Trend: Robin shows that a variety of metallic backsplashes can make a beautiful design statement in the kitchen. We’re loving copper but if you’re more of a silver type of person
don’t worry she’s covered it all.
Favorite Design Tip: Jon shares some inspiring spaces and tips on how to nail
the modern industrial look.
Favorite Design: Ivan gives us a quick look at a very cool masculine bathroom that
makes use of an unusual space in the attic.
Favorite Pattern: Beautiful wallpaper in a bold print can transform a room and Emily
shows us some spaces where the Lotus design from Farrow and Ball does just that.
Favorite Home Tour: Cassandra gives us a sneak peek at Kelley Moore’s charming
Queen Anne Home.
Favorite Super Bowl Party Idea: Loved the idea of an Anti-Super Bowl party that
still has a bit of football flair. Jacquelyn gives us some ideas on how to throw a get
together on game day that is all about food and fun with friends.
