Lately, we have been swooning over concrete and stone interiors and this bathroom is definitely one of our favorites! It’s made up of nearly almost all concrete but has has a look and feel that is far from industrial.
Warm it up!
Concrete is a dynamic material that can be used anywhere in the home, including the bathroom. But be careful–you don’t want your bathroom to feel cold and prison-like. Avoid unfinished concrete in harsh grey tones for a look that’s warm and cozy. Who knew concrete came in soft shades of grey, beige, and white! Here, the walls, flooring and a custom concrete vanity are light and earthy. There’s even a pair of white towel warmers–so much more serene than the standard chrome.
Keep adding to the natural warmth by maintaining the neutral color palette, but add some layers to prevent the space from becoming a boring blob of beige. White fringe towels from Busatti and a fluffy faux sheepskin rug (What? Only $10?) add texture while the dark brown mirror and accessories add a bit of contrast. By combining some good old industrial cement with rich tones you can easily recreate a bathroom sanctuary that is warm and inviting.
