“I love talking and meeting new people–I’m definitely not shy,” says Stu, a newcomer to Home & Stone but a seasoned veteran of the luxury bath and kitchen field. The Brooklyn native actually fell into the industry by chance; while building his skills as a manager at a mechanic shop, he was recommended to a local showroom as a promising sales consultant. It was there that he spent over 15 years developing his expertise and working with a multitude of clients, from homeowners to designers to contractors.
While sales consultants are not necessarily designers, their knowledge and experience in style and design can help guide the choices of their clients. When it comes to aesthetics, Stu recommends contemporary and transitional styles, because the looks are versatile and timeless–“there’s something for everyone.” And helping a customer design their home is about more than just how the piece looks; Stu’s years of building relationships with the brands makes him a great industry insider, who knows where to find reliable customer service.
