Mike Diamond–legendary Beastie Boys emcee–has recently moved into a newly renovated townhouse in Brooklyn with his wife and two children. Diamond and his group have been forever linked to the borough due to the popularity of their classic hit “No sleep till Brooklyn.” Ironically, it’s the first time he’s ever lived outside of Manhattan! The Cobble Hill home has a high and low design aesthetic with some pieces being expensive, custom-made, or sourced from stores like Target. Like his music, the decor is a mashup of different styles and at times has an eclectic feel. One of our favorite rooms is the kitchen:an understated beauty made interesting with small personal touches. A gilded hanging shelf and custom light fixture are definitely conversation starters, and there is nothing more stunning than a white marble island. These three design features along with the warm wood cabinets make this kitchen simply gorgeous.
